Flash back to simpler times… long summer days, best friends and the Soap Box Derby! You are about to compete in an Adventure Program with a mission!
That’s right, get ready for Derby Days! As our pit crew instructs participants on the construction of their vehicle, each team is given the same materials from which to build their car.
Your team will work together to determine a plan to design, build and present your vehicle. Once building time is up, all teams participate in the presentation parade, then it’s time to race!
Teams will be judged on time and distance, as well as overall design & creativity. Awards will be presented in the following categories:
Mega Mileage Award
Spunky Sponsorship Award
Bodacious Body Award
The objective is to have fun, participate in team development, and seek new approaches to accomplish the task at hand through effective teamwork.
